EVchargeME is a platform that gives EV drivers quick, convenient access to charging stations while enabling homeowners and businesses to earn income by sharing their chargers. We designed their proprietary smartbox that is currently patent pending.
The client initially came to us for prototyping services after too many issues with their previous vendor. Over time, we redesigned the entire EV charging enclosure to improve performance, flexibility, and manufacturability. The new design reduced the size of the unit by half while significantly improving functionality.
We also sourced all subcomponents through manufacturing partners abroad to ensure competitive pricing and a reliable, long-term supply chain. Maintaining consistent component specifications was critical, as changes to individual parts could impact the overall design and performance of the system.
